The Tallahassee Police Department has confirmed that the remains of 12-year-old Lori Paige, who was reported missing in June 2023, were discovered on April 5 at the Merrily Plantation in Thomas County, Georgia.

Lori was last seen in the 1200 block of Continental Court near Ocala Road, in proximity to San Luis Mission Park in Tallahassee, Florida. Following months of investigation, her father, 36-year-old Andrew Wiley, has been arrested and formally charged with second-degree murder in connection with her disappearance and death.
According to authorities, Wiley became a person of interest after providing conflicting statements during the investigation. In February 2024, investigators obtained a search warrant for his residence and seized his phone. A forensic review of the device revealed internet searches related to remote areas with bodies of water in Alabama and Georgia.

These findings prompted law enforcement to conduct searches in remote regions of Thomas County, Georgia. While the initial search efforts did not yield results, investigators returned to the Merrily Plantation area on April 5, where they successfully located human remains later identified as Lori Paige.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement processed the remains and confirmed the identification.
The investigation remains active, and further updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
Rest in Peace Lori Paige.
